Donated 41 medicine cabinets to fishermen in coastal areas
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the program "with fishermen sticking to the sea", on the morning of October 16, at the Quynh Luu District Medical Center, Family and Society Newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Institute of Marine Medicine organized a donation of medicine cabinets and medical equipment to fishermen in Quynh Luu District, Hoang Mai Town and Dien Chau District.

The program "Staying at sea with fishermen" organized by Family and Society newspaper is an activity responding to the movement "Health sector with fishermen staying at sea" launched by the Ministry of Health. On this occasion, Family and Society newspaper presented 50 medicine cabinets and medical equipment to 3 districts and towns, including Quynh Luu with 41 medicine cabinets, Dien Chau 1 and Hoang Mai town with 8 medicine cabinets. Each medicine cabinet is worth 2 million VND, including medicines and medical equipment, ordered from the Vietnam Institute of Maritime Medicine in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health. This gift was called for by Family and Society newspaper from organizations, businesses, and philanthropists. The gift is extremely important in contributing to protecting the health of fishermen when going to sea, to protect the homeland's sea and islands. After the presentation, doctors at the Institute of Maritime Medicine trained and instructed fishermen on how to use the medicine cabinets and provide first aid at sea.
