Mexican police find 61 bodies in abandoned crematorium

AFP reported that Mexican authorities said on February 6 that police had found 61 bodies, including children, in an abandoned crematorium in the Pacific resort of Acapulco.

“We are working to determine how many children, women and men there are,” said Guerrero state attorney general Miguel Angel Godinez.

However, Mr. Godinez did not provide details about the cause of death of these people.

Acapulco has suffered from drug gang violence, but it is unclear whether the bodies are murder victims or were left there when the crematorium closed./.
