Haiti: At least 18 people die from electrocution at festival

The car caught fire when it came into contact with a high voltage current coming from an electrical wire above the car.

At least 18 people were killed and 60 others injured when a parade bus hit a power line in the capital Port-au-Prince, Haiti on February 17.

The accident happened on the second day of an annual festival in the country. Video footage from the parade showed the electric wire falling from above onto the head of a singer standing on the car.
