Consideration for awarding the title of Master Craftsman in Fine Arts

(Baonghean) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision No. 2007/QD-BCT (dated March 5, 2015) on awarding the title of Artisan in the field of fine arts and crafts, ensuring that the criteria, procedures, and processes are in accordance with the regulations stipulated in Government Decree No. 123/2014/ND-CP dated December 25, 2014.

The titles of "People's Artisan" and "Outstanding Artisan" are considered and announced every three years on National Day, September 2nd, starting in 2015.

To ensure that the awarding of the titles "People's Artisan" and "Outstanding Artisan" in 2015 is carried out in accordance with the law, the awarding schedule is as follows:

1. Individuals nominated for the titles of "People's Artisan" or "Outstanding Artisan" must complete their application dossiers in accordance with the law and submit them to the Department of Industry and Trade of the provinces and centrally-administered cities where they reside before April 30, 2015.

2. The process of awarding the title of Artisan at the provincial level council must be completed and the dossiers submitted to the specialized council at the ministerial level before June 30, 2015.

3. The process of awarding the title of Artisan at the Ministerial-level specialized council must be completed and the dossiers submitted to the State-level council before August 15, 2015.

4. The process of awarding the title of Artisan at the State-level Council will be completed and the dossiers submitted to the Central Emulation and Commendation Board before September 30, 2015, for compilation and submission to the Prime Minister for consideration, and then to the President for a decision on the awarding of the title.

5. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will organize a ceremony to announce the President's decision to confer and award the titles of "People's Artisan" and "Outstanding Artisan" after the President's decision is issued.
