Consider awarding the title of Craftsman

(Baonghean) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision No. 2007/QD-BCT (dated March 5, 2015) on considering and awarding the title of Artisan in the field of handicrafts and fine arts, which must ensure the correct subjects, standards, processes and procedures as prescribed in Decree No. 123/2014/ND-CP dated December 25, 2014 of the Government.

The titles of “People's Artisan” and “Meritorious Artisan” are considered and announced every three years on the occasion of National Day, September 2, starting from 2015.

To ensure the awarding of the titles "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" in 2015 in accordance with the provisions of law, the awarding time is as follows:

1. Individuals requesting to be considered for the title of "People's Artisan" or "Excellent Artisan" must complete the application according to the provisions of law and send it to the Department of Industry and Trade of the province or centrally-run city where they reside before April 30, 2015.

2. The consideration and awarding of the title of Artisan at the Provincial Council must be completed and the dossier sent to the Ministry-level specialized Council before June 30, 2015.

3. The consideration for awarding the title of Artisan at the Ministry-level specialized council must be completed and the dossier sent to the State-level council before August 15, 2015.

4. The consideration and awarding of the title of Artisan at the State Council must be completed and the dossier sent to the Central Emulation and Reward Committee before September 30, 2015 for synthesis, submission to the Prime Minister for consideration, and submission to the President for decision on awarding.

5. The Ministry of Industry and Trade organizes the Ceremony to announce the President's Decision to confer and award the titles of "People's Artisan" and "Meritorious Artisan" after the President's decision.
