On this occasion, the Polish Embassy donated a modern ventilator worth 650 million VND to the hospital for use in neonatal emergency care.

Barbara stated that the donation of ventilators is part of a development cooperation program of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aimed at supporting the neonatal unit of the obstetrics department, improving pediatric emergency care capabilities, and thereby helping to save the lives of many newborns.

Also during the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Danh Linh, Director of the hospital, expressed his gratitude to the Polish Embassy and affirmed that the donated equipment would be managed, protected, operated, and used for its intended purpose and effectively.

In the history of the hospital's construction and development, around 1985-1989, a 500-bed hospital was newly built with the assistance of the Polish government. From then on, the name "Vietnam-Poland Hospital" marked the valuable cooperation and assistance from our friendly country. In 1992, the hospital changed its name, but still retained the mark of friendship, as the Nghe An Friendship General Hospital.
