Polish Embassy donates ventilators to Nghe An General Hospital
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 3, Nghe An General Friendship Hospital was honored to welcome a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland led by Ms. Barbara Szymanowska - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Vietnam to visit and present ventilators to the Hospital.
Attending the awarding ceremony were comrade Le Xuan Dai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Department of Health, Department of Foreign Affairs and the Board of Directors of Nghe An General Hospital.

On this occasion, the Polish Embassy donated a modern ventilator to the hospital for neonatal emergency care worth 650 million.
Ms. Barbara said that the ventilator donation is part of the development cooperation program of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aiming to support the neonatal unit of the obstetrics department, improve pediatric emergency capacity, thereby helping to save the lives of many newborns.
Also within the framework of the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Danh Linh, Director of the Hospital, expressed his gratitude to the Polish Embassy and affirmed that he will manage, protect, operate and use the sponsored equipment for the right purpose and effectively.
In the history of construction and development of the Hospital, around 1985 - 1989, the hospital with a scale of 500 beds was newly built thanks to the help of the Polish Government. From then on, the name "Vietnam - Poland Hospital" marked the cooperation and valuable assistance of the friendly country. In 1992, the hospital changed its name but still had the mark of friendship as Nghe An General Friendship Hospital.
