Fifth Congress of the Party Committee of Nghia Son Commune

(Baonghean.vn) - On March 18th, the Party Committee of Nghia Son commune, Nghia Dan district, solemnly held its 5th Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term. This was the first unit in Nghia Dan district to hold a congress and was selected by the district as a model congress. Representatives from the Provincial Party Committee attended the congress. From the district, Comrade Vi Van Dinh – Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, along with other members of the District Party Committee Standing Committee, and 135 official delegates representing Party members throughout the commune were present.

Overview of the Congress

During the past term, despite facing many common difficulties, the Party Committee and people of Nghia Son commune have united, worked together, and strived creatively to achieve significant results. In the five years from 2010 to 2015, Nghia Son experienced considerable development, shifting its economic structure in the right direction, suitable to the local characteristics, and developing many effective economic models. Focus was placed on preventing major disease outbreaks in crops and livestock. Productivity, quality, and efficiency of some crops and livestock achieved good results. Favorable conditions were created for a large-scale industrial dairy farming project, creating a new model and a major shift in agricultural production in the area. Total production value reached over 112 billion VND, with an economic growth rate of 14.1%. Average per capita income reached over 28 million VND per year. The proportion of trade and services has developed quite rapidly, reaching over 45%, with various types of services such as restaurants, guesthouses, transportation, wholesale and retail, especially in the central area of ​​the commune, serving the needs of development and large projects in the area. The poverty rate in the commune has decreased to only 2.75%, 90% of families are recognized as "cultural families," and the living standards of the people are increasingly being cared for and significantly improved.

Ideological and propaganda work has been given renewed attention, and its effectiveness and quality have been continuously improved. It has proactively grasped and guided ideology, strengthening the confidence of cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people in the Party's leadership. Therefore, it has contributed to enhancing political acumen, creating unity and solidarity within the Party, and building an increasingly strong political system in the commune. Cultural, artistic, and sports movements have been promoted and developed. Healthcare for the people has been given attention. Social security has been well implemented. Political security and social order and safety have been maintained.

With the spirit of positive innovation - unity - democracy - creativity - development, the Congress also focused its intellect, discussed and contributed ideas, and presented many speeches to further clarify the content of the congress program, as well as contributing many ideas to finalize the resolution of the commune's Party Congress, striving to build Nghia Son into a new development hub, a bright spot ranking among the top in the Northwest cluster of Nghia Dan district.

At the congress, 15 comrades were elected to the Executive Committee of the commune's Party Committee, 5th term, 2015-2020, and delegates were elected to attend the 28th Nghia Dan district Party Congress in the near future.

Immediately after the pilot Party Congress of Nghia Son commune, the Standing Committee of the Nghia Dan District Party Committee will hold a debriefing session and request that grassroots Party committees focus on directing the organization of their congresses and completing them according to plan.
