(Baonghean.vn) - The sample found in the pot of broth that Hue put in to kill her husband has been concluded by authorities to be a deadly poison.

On April 15th, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tat Thang, Chief of Police of Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province, announced that Dau Thi Hue (born in 1988, residing in Nghi Lam Commune, Nghi Loc District) has been charged with murder.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Thang, the Institute of Criminal Science (Ministry of Public Security) concluded that the sample obtained from the pot of water used to boil the offal, which Hue herself added, was identified as poison. "This is a type of poison that will cause death if ingested," the district police chief said.

Previously, after a period of separation, on March 26th, Dau Thi Hue and her husband, Phan Truong Phi, met to finalize their divorce. That evening, Phi was halfway through boiling pig's intestines for dinner when he went out to get something. When he returned to the kitchen, he noticed the water in the pot had changed color unusually. He suspected Hue, who was inside the house at the time, had poisoned him. He questioned her, but she denied it and left the house.

During the crime scene investigation, police recovered an empty container of Fokeba 20%, identifying it as a highly toxic rat poison. Two days later, Hue surrendered and confessed to poisoning her husband. The samples were sent to the investigating agency for forensic analysis.
