Admission information for grade 10, school year 2015-2016

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 22, Nghe An Department of Education and Training held a Conference on admission to grade 10 for the 2015-2016 school year.

At the conference, Mr. Thai Viet Thao - Head of Examination & Quality Assurance Department of Nghe An Department of Education and Training announced the plan and schedule for admission to grade 10 for the 2015 - 2016 school year.

Accordingly, admission to grade 10 for the 2015-2016 school year in Nghe An has two forms: entrance exams for high schools with a larger number of students registering for the exam than the assigned quota and admission by selection for schools with a smaller number of students registering for the exam or equivalent to the quota allocated by the Department of Education and Training.

The number of students registering for the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School and 2 provincial boarding high schools for ethnic minorities is regulated as follows:

Students wishing to take the 10th grade entrance exam at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted will take the general exams as prescribed for students taking the entrance exam to high schools, but must also take an additional aptitude test.

Students who meet the criteria to take the entrance exam to the 2 ethnic boarding high schools of the province will be able to register to take the exam at the 2 above schools or register to take the exam at a high school that is convenient for them to take the exam to get the score to be selected to enter one of the 2 ethnic boarding high schools of the province.

The schedule related to the 10th grade admission will be as follows:

- May 7, 2015: Nghe An Department of Education and Training will announce the third exam subject (in addition to the two prescribed subjects of Literature and Math) and announce the enrollment quota for grade 10 for the 2015-2016 school year for schools.

- The 10th grade entrance exam will take place on June 9 and 10, 2015.

Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted organized an additional day, June 13, 2015, to take exams for gifted subjects.

To ensure the exam takes place safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations, this year, high schools will arrange for administrators and teachers to study and thoroughly understand the exam regulations nearly a month earlier than previous years.
