Opening ceremony for the 2015 summer swimming classes in Anh Son district.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 8th, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a ceremony to launch the 2015 summer swimming course for children and teenagers in Anh Son district.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, was in attendance.

This is the second consecutive year that the Anh Son District Youth Union, in coordination with the District Education Department and the District Cultural Center, has organized swimming lessons for young people.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union presented 20 life jackets to the children participating in the class.

Fifty children aged 8 to 15 from Cam Son commune participated in this swimming class. Over the 10 days from July 8th to July 18th, they will be equipped with knowledge on accident and injury prevention, especially drowning; swimming skills; and first aid skills in case of accidents… helping them improve their health, develop life skills to protect themselves, and prevent drowning accidents.

The children received specific guidance from their teacher on swimming techniques.

This is one of the fun and beneficial activities for young people, creating an enjoyable summer vacation for them. At the same time, it promotes the swimming instruction and learning movement throughout the district, effectively managing the education of young people and students during the summer with the goal of "A safe and beneficial summer".
