Award ceremony for the Journalism Contest on the topic of Building New Rural Areas and Poverty Reduction.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 12th, in Vinh City, the Organizing Committee of the 2014 Nghe An Province Journalism Competition on the theme of building new rural areas and poverty reduction held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes to the winning authors.

Attending the awards ceremony were Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Ba Hung - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of the leadership of several provincial departments and agencies; and the award-winning authors.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - presented the awards and Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the authors who won first prize.

The competition was launched to create strong motivation and an atmosphere of enthusiasm and emulation; to mobilize, encourage, and motivate all sectors of the population to participate in building new rural areas and implementing poverty eradication and reduction work effectively and sustainably; and at the same time to discover, nurture, and replicate advanced models, initiatives, experiences, and good practices.

Comrade Le Ba Hung - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, presented the second prize to the winning authors.

In addition, the competition also aims to leverage the media power of press agencies in promoting the image of Nghe An in the process of building new rural areas and eradicating hunger and poverty.

The Organizing Committee presented the third prize to the winning authors.

Following the launch of the competition, the Organizing Committee received numerous entries across various journalistic formats, including television, radio, print, and online media, and selected 38 works for the final round.

The Organizing Committee presented awards to the authors who received the Encouragement Prize.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the authors of 24 winning works. These included 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 7 third prizes, and 12 consolation prizes.

In the competition, Nghe An Newspaper won 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 4 third prizes, and 2 consolation prizes.
