Awarding ceremony of the Journalism Contest on the topic of New Rural Construction and National Target Program
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 12, in Vinh City, the Organizing Committee of the 2014 Journalism Contest on the topic of New Rural Development and Poverty Reduction in Nghe An Province held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes to the winning authors.
Attending the award ceremony were comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Ba Hung - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors and the award-winning authors.

The contest was launched to create strong motivation, an exciting and competitive atmosphere; mobilize, encourage and motivate people of all walks of life to participate in building new rural areas and carry out hunger eradication and poverty reduction effectively and sustainably; at the same time, discover, foster and replicate advanced examples, initiatives, experiences and good models.

Besides, the contest also aims to promote the media power of press agencies in propagating and promoting the image of Nghe An in the work of building new rural areas and eliminating hunger and reducing poverty.

After the launching period, the Organizing Committee received many works in various types of journalism including television, radio, print and electronic newspapers to participate in the contest and selected 38 works for the final round.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the authors of 24 winning works. Among them, there were 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 7 third prizes, and 12 consolation prizes.
Participating in the contest, Nghe An Newspaper had 1 work winning First prize, 1 Second prize, 4 Third prizes and 2 Consolation prizes.
