Forum "Dialogue on Gender Equality" 2015

(Baonghean.vn)- On June 26, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the province organized the Forum "Dialogue on Gender Equality" in 2015.

Attending the event were Ms. Vi Ngoc Quynh, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi, Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, leaders of the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, along with heads and deputy heads of departments, agencies, and people of Thai Hoa town.

The forum aims to create changes and raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society in implementing the law and proposing opinions and aspirations on policies directly related to gender equality, for the advancement of women. At the same time, it creates opportunities and an environment to help women improve their position in all fields to gradually eliminate the gender gap; promote the role and contributions of women in the economic and social development of Thai Hoa town in particular and Nghe An province in general.

The forum is also a broad political activity for leaders of the Town Party Committee and grassroots officials, and people of Thai Hoa Town to join in dialogue and exchange on the current status of gender equality work in the town and the responsibilities of sectors, organizations and people in implementing the law on gender equality in recent times.
