Forum "Dialogue on Gender Equality" 2015

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 26th, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghean province organized the "Dialogue on Gender Equality" Forum in 2015.

Attending the event were Comrade Vi Ngoc Quynh, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Nghe An province; Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi, Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor; leaders of the Town Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; along with heads and deputy heads of departments and agencies of Thai Hoa town; and the people of Thai Hoa town.

An overview of the dialogue program.

The forum aims to create a shift in awareness and responsibility among all levels, sectors, and society as a whole in implementing the law and proposing opinions and aspirations on policies directly related to gender equality and the advancement of women. At the same time, it creates opportunities and an environment to help women improve their status in various fields, gradually eliminating the gender gap; and promoting the role and contributions of women in the economic and social development of Thai Hoa town in particular and Nghe An province in general.

The forum also served as a comprehensive political activity for the leaders of the Town Party Committee, grassroots officials, and the people of Thai Hoa Town to participate in dialogue and exchange views on the current state of gender equality work in the town and the responsibilities of various sectors, organizations, and the people in implementing the gender equality law in the past period.
