(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of December 30, 2014, in Vinh City, the provincial inter-sectoral working group inspected and supervised the implementation of Directive 17/CT according to Decision No. 2290/QD-UBND dated May 27, 2014 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, conducted a preliminary review of the results of activities in 2014 and discussed solutions for the coming time. Comrade Le Dinh Ly - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs chaired.

However, through inspection, there are still some limitations. Departments, branches and units have issued working regulations, office culture regulations, and codes of conduct for civil servants but have not yet amended, supplemented or specified them according to the provisions of Directive 17/CT; most civil servants do not have name tags at their desks and have not strictly followed the wearing of civil servant badges while on duty; self-inspection and supervision of discipline have not received due attention; inspection teams at lower levels have not been established; one-stop-shop staff at some district and town units are still absent without reason; some government headquarters have not hung the national flag and emblem according to regulations; some communes have announced working hours that are not on time according to the Government's regulations. During the inspections, the delegation has notified units that have detected shortcomings and limitations for correction; at the same time, they have compiled reports to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for solutions.

Based on the discussion, representatives of member departments and agencies made a number of recommendations and solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of inspections. Concluding the working session, comrade Le Dinh Ly - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Head of the delegation acknowledged the efforts of the inspection team, and pointed out a number of limitations and things that have not been done. Accordingly, the delegation recommended that the Provincial People's Committee link the inspection of discipline compliance with the responsibilities of heads of agencies and units, and establish inspection teams when necessary; only conduct surprise and specialized inspections of some agencies and units with public opinions and feedback from the people and some areas and localities that are still weak; must innovate the content and methods of inspection to be more focused and effective, after the inspection, recommend the province to have solutions to urge and handle the implementation of Directive 17/CT more thoroughly and seriously.../.
