In the Vietnamese market, Rondo has 2 engine options: 1.7 liter diesel engine with maximum capacity of 135 horsepower and 2.0 liter gasoline engine with maximum capacity of 150 horsepower.

Manufacturer and distributor Thaco Kia has just officially applied a new retail price for the Rondo model with incentives from 12-19 million VND depending on the version.

Specifically, version 1.7 DMT is reduced by 12 million VND to 710 million VND, version 1.7 DAT is reduced by 16 million VND to 726 million VND, versions 2.0 GAT and 2.0 GATH are both reduced by 19 million VND to 683 million VND and 783 million VND respectively.

Kia Rondo was introduced to the Vietnamese market in late 2014.

In the Vietnamese market, Rondo has 2 options: 1.7 liter diesel engine with maximum capacity of 135 horsepower and 2.0 liter gasoline engine with maximum capacity of 150 horsepower. Transmission also has 2 options: 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

Safety equipment on the car includes ABS, EBD braking system, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, rear camera, ESP electronic balance, VSM body stabilization, HAC hill start assist...

This is a car model that has a lot of expectations in the Vietnamese market. However, the weakness of Rondo is the 5+2 design that makes the space inside the car a bit cramped, along with the quite high selling price while there are many 7-seat car options on the market.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the total sales volume of Rondo in the first 6 months of 2015 reached 333 units, of which 57 units were sold in June 2015 alone. This is the second lowest sales volume among the 7 models in the Kia “family”, only higher than the 5-seat SUV Sportage.
