In the Vietnamese market, the Rondo offers two engine options: a 1.7-liter diesel engine with a maximum power of 135 horsepower and a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a maximum power of 150 horsepower.

Thaco Kia, the manufacturer and distributor, has officially implemented new retail prices for the Rondo model, with discounts ranging from 12 to 19 million VND depending on the version.

Specifically, the 1.7 DMT version was reduced by 12 million VND to 710 million VND, the 1.7 DAT version was reduced by 16 million VND to 726 million VND, and the 2.0 GAT and 2.0 GATH versions both saw a reduction of 19 million VND, bringing their prices down to 683 million VND and 783 million VND respectively.

The Kia Rondo was introduced to the Vietnamese market in late 2014.

This model has generated considerable expectations in the Vietnamese market. However, the Rondo's weakness lies in its 5+2 seating configuration, which results in somewhat cramped interior space, coupled with a relatively high price compared to many 7-seater options available on the market.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), total sales of the Rondo in the first six months of 2015 reached 333 units, with 57 units sold in June alone. This is the second lowest sales volume among the seven models in the Kia "family," only higher than the five-seater SUV Sportage.
