Construction begins on the second Hoa Sen steel sheet factory in Nghe An.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 19th, at the Dong Hoi Industrial Park - Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An province, in coordination with Hoa Sen Group, held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Hoa Sen Group's second factory in Nghe An.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Mr. Tran Tuan Anh – Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, leaders of several departments and institutes, and leaders of Quang Ngai province. Representing Nghe An province were: Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of departments and agencies, and leaders of Hoang Mai town. Also present were leaders of Hoa Sen Group and leaders of several corporations that are close clients of Hoa Sen Group.

After a short period of site survey and research, Hoa Sen Group decided to invest in a project in the Dong Hoi Industrial Park – Hoang Mai, within the Southeast Economic Zone. The Hoa Sen Nghe An factory in the Dong Hoi Industrial Park, Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai district, is a new project invested and built by Hoa Sen Nghe An Co., Ltd. on an area of ​​35 hectares. The factory enjoys many advantages due to its location in a key economic zone, 5 km from Nghi Son deep-water port in Thanh Hoa, 1 km from Hoang Mai train station, and 5 km from National Highway 1A and the North-South railway line. Therefore, it is very convenient for transporting goods and developing the market.

The factory is equipped with a cold rolling line with a total designed capacity of 1 million tons/year, two color-coated steel sheet production lines with a total designed capacity of 500,000 tons/year, one color-coated steel sheet production line with a designed capacity of 120,000 tons/year; one acid regeneration line, one descaling line, and two CNC steel rolling mill grinding machines with a capacity of 24 rolling mills/day. The total estimated investment for the factory is 5,000 billion VND, and the factory is expected to produce its first products in March 2006.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh also highly appreciated the potential of Hoa Sen Group. He stated that in the current context of integration, companies like Hoa Sen Group will contribute to Vietnam's better integration with the world. The investment by Hoa Sen Group in its second factory is proof that the investment environment in Nghe An is becoming increasingly attractive.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - presented the investment license for the Hoa Sen factory to Hoa Sen Group.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the investor's determination, trust, and investment in effective projects that contribute to enriching Nghe An, opening up new prospects for other investors, and contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo on Nghe An. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the leaders of the departments, agencies, and Hoang Mai Town to create the best possible conditions for the factory to start operating soon.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, the Provincial Party Secretary presented the investment license to the Hoa Sen Group's Hoa Sen factory in Hoang Mai. The construction of the factory will promote the development of Hoang Mai urban area in general, and the Dong Hoi industrial zone in particular, creating momentum for the development of the Southern Thanh Hoa - Northern Nghe An economic region.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Hoa Sen Group donated 50 bicycles to underprivileged students in Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town. The group also contributed 222 million VND to 53 poor households, policy beneficiary households, and households with meritorious service, as well as 169 leprosy patients receiving treatment at the Central Leprosy and Dermatology Hospital in Quynh Lap.

The Hoa Sen Steel Sheet Factory in Nghe An, owned by Hoa Sen Group, is located in Zone C, Nam Cam Industrial Park, Southeast Economic Zone. The factory occupies a land area of ​​122,916 m2, with an estimated investment of 200 billion VND. It includes 12 steel pipe production lines with a total designed capacity of 100,000 tons/year; and 1 roll forming line with a designed capacity of 100,000 tons/year. Phase 1 has now been completed, with 6 steel pipe production lines in operation. Following the inauguration, the factory will continue to invest in completing the production line system and will be fully completed by December 2015.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, praised the determination and investment progress of Hoa Sen Group, which in a short time brought a large-scale factory to Nghe An, which is of great significance to the socio-economic development of Nghe An province, and also creates a bridge for other investors to come to Nghe An. With decisive and proactive leadership in resolving difficulties for investors, the project quickly went into operation.
