Pakistani army fired artillery shells at six Indian border posts

According to PTI's July 6 news, the Pakistani army on the night of July 5 fired artillery shells at six border posts of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the border area between the two countries in Jammu district of Jammu-Kashmir state, forcing the BSF to counterattack.

A BSF officer in Jammu said Pakistani forces used small arms and 82mm artillery shells on BSF border posts, causing panic among people living along the area.

BSF soldiers on duty guarding the border with Pakistan counterattacked, leading to gunfire throughout the night until 5am on July 6.

There have been no reports of casualties or material damage in the clashes./
