Marvel reveals images of a female version of Ant-Man.
The suit that appeared in the short clip at the end of "Ant-Man" was released by the producers, hinting at new content for the sequel.
Like many other Marvel films, Ant-Man surprises audiences with two bonus clips at the end. One reveals a new Ant-Man installment, featuring Hope Van Dyne (played by Evangeline Lilly) in a female Ant-Man costume. The other touches upon the events of Captain America: Civil War (released in May 2016).

On July 29th, Marvel released a photo of Ant-Man's female suit. Throughout the Ant-Man films, Hope Van Dyne played a supporting role, behind Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) in their quest to save humanity. However, in the sequel, Evangeline Lilly's character will have a more prominent role and will be on par with Ant-Man.
According to the producers, Ant-Man will be a key character in Captain America: Civil War, currently being filmed in Atlanta, USA. Kevin Feige recently confirmed that Evangeline Lilly will not be participating in Civil War but will appear in Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Speaking about the new Ant-Man project, director Peyton Reed shared: "If we're lucky, we might make a second or third installment. I'd be happy to be involved. I really love the Ant-Man characters. I have so much more to say to Professor Hank Pym." Actor Michael Douglas has not yet signed any contracts for Ant-Man sequels.

The Ant-Man project was launched in 2006, but the script wasn't finalized until 2012, allowing for casting. The film's success prompted producers to quickly plan a sequel.
Ant-Man was released on July 17th and grossed $226 million worldwide, nearly double its production budget ($130 million). This marks the 12th highest-grossing opening weekend for a Marvel film. Ant-Man also received positive reviews from critics, with 79% of reviews praising the film. It was praised for its fresh approach, exploring a very different perspective on a superhero.
