Marvel reveals image of female Ant-Man
The armor appeared in a short film at the end of the movie "Ant-Man" released by the producer, revealing new content about the sequel of the movie.
Like many other Marvel movies, Ant-Man surprises audiences with two bonus clips at the end. One reveals the new Ant-Man, starring Hope Van Dyne (played by Evangeline Lilly) in a female Ant-Man costume. The other tells the story of Captain America: Civil War (released in May 2016).

On July 29, Marvel released a photo of Ant-Man's armor. Throughout the Ant-Man movie, Hope Van Dyne was only a supporting character, standing behind Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) in their journey to save humanity. However, in the sequel, Evangeline Lilly's character will have more screen time and be on par with Ant-Man.
Also according to the producer, Ant-Man will be an important character in Captain America: Civil War. The film is being filmed in Atlanta (USA). Kevin Feige recently confirmed that Evangeline Lilly will not participate in Civil War but will appear in phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Talking about the new Ant-Man project, director Peyton Reed shared: "If we're lucky, we can do a second or third part of the movie. I'm very willing to participate. I really love the characters in Ant-Man. I have a lot to say to Professor Hank Pym." Actor Michael Douglas has not signed any contracts for the sequels of Ant-Man.

The Ant-Man project started in 2006 but it was not until 2012 that the script was completed and the casting started. The success of the film prompted the producers to quickly plan a new installment.
Ant-Man was released on July 17 and grossed $226 million worldwide, nearly double its budget ($130 million). It is the 12th Marvel film to have the highest opening weekend. Ant-Man also received positive reviews from critics, with 79% of reviews praising the film. The film received praise for its new direction, exploring a very different perspective on a superhero.
