Handing over a new pair of missile ships to the Navy.
The handover of the new pair of missile ships will contribute to improving training and combat readiness to protect the sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands.
According to a source on July 19th, the second pair of missile boats (M3, M4) with hull numbers 379 and 380 were successfully built and handed over to the Navy by Ba Son Corporation (General Department of Defense Industry), and deployed into combat formations as per the contract.

Colonel Nguyen Manh Lan, Deputy General Director of Ba Son Corporation, said that during the construction of the 12418 missile boat project in general and the second pair of ships in particular, Ba Son Corporation has been proactive and diligent in production, sourcing materials and equipment, including both imported and domestically sourced materials, ensuring quality equivalent to or better than imported materials to meet the needs of the Vietnamese Navy's ship crews.
As a result, the ships built by Ba Son for the Navy are all of high quality and meet the strict criteria set by the Ministry of National Defense for the construction of combat ships in the military.

The acceptance councils of the Ministry of National Defence and the Navy unanimously assessed that ships 379 and 380 were constructed according to design; materials and equipment were correct in quantity and type, and had complete certificates and proof of origin; acceptance reports for technology transitions, factory-level acceptance reports, technical specifications, and instructions for using equipment and documentation were all complete.
Speaking at the handover ceremony of ships 379 and 380 to the Navy, Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Minister of National Defense, affirmed that the handover of the second pair of ships will contribute to improving training, combat readiness, and the protection of the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands by the Navy. At the same time, the handover also demonstrates the growing level of scientific and technical expertise and technology in the transfer of technology for building these important combat ships.
Previously, Ba Son Corporation had built the first pair of ships (M1, M2) and handed them over to the Navy in June 2014.
