The handover of the new missile boats will contribute to improving training and combat readiness to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

On July 19, according to a source, the pair of missile boats No. 2 (M3, M4) with numbers 379 and 380 were successfully built by Ba Son Corporation (General Department of Defense Industry) and handed over to the Navy, assigned to the combat formation according to the contract.

Colonel Nguyen Manh Lan, Deputy General Director of Ba Son Corporation, said that during the construction of the missile ship project 12418 in general and the ship pair No. 2 in particular, Ba Son Corporation has been active and proactive in labor production, exploitation of materials and equipment, including import and selection of local materials, ensuring quality equivalent to or better than imported materials to suit the needs of the Vietnamese Navy's crew.

Thanks to that, the ships built by Ba Son for the Navy all ensure quality and industrial aesthetics, meeting the strict criteria set by the Ministry of National Defense for the construction of combat ships in the army.

The Acceptance Council of the Ministry of National Defense and the Navy both agreed that ships 379 and 380 were constructed according to the design; materials and equipment were of correct quantity and type and had full certificates and origins; minutes of acceptance of technological transitions, minutes of factory-level acceptance, technical explanations and instructions for use of equipment, and complete records.

Speaking at the handover ceremony of ships 379 and 380 to the Navy, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Minister of National Defense, affirmed that the handover of the second pair of ships will contribute to improving training, combat readiness, and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Navy. At the same time, the handover of the ships also demonstrates the growth in the level of science, technology and technology in the transfer of technology to build this important combat ship.

Previously, Ba Son Corporation built the first pair of ships (M1, M2) and handed them over to the Navy in June 2014./.
