Nam Dan begins construction of "Red Scarf" house.
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 12th, the Nam Dan District Youth Union held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a "Red Scarf" house for the family of Nguyen Dinh Loc, a 5th grade student at Hoang Tru Primary School.Despite coming from extremely difficult circumstances, she overcame adversity and excelled in her studies.
The ceremony was attended by Comrade Nguyen Long Hai - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union - Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, along with representatives of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, leaders of Tien Phong Youth Plastic Company Limited - Central Vietnam Branch, and hundreds of students who are delegates to the 8th National Outstanding Young Pioneers of Uncle Ho.
Before the ceremony, the delegation visited the Kim Lien historical site to lay flowers, offer incense, and report their achievements to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House.
Over the years, in order to help poor students overcome difficulties and excel in their studies, the Central Youth Union has implemented the "Small Plan" fund by collecting scrap paper that students discard daily and weekly, accumulating a large amount of valuable material.
The movement has truly educated students about the importance of saving, protecting, and maintaining environmental hygiene. With a donation of 50 million VND from the children's "Small Plan" fund, the house of Nguyen Dinh Loc's family was started construction in the presence of local Party committees, authorities, and neighbors. The house, with a usable area of 60 square meters and two rooms, cost over 100 million VND and is expected to be completed and handed over by the end of August 2015.
Through this meaningful activity, we aim to further promote the "Thousand Good Deeds" movement and the "Small Plan" movement among children nationwide, fostering in them a spirit of mutual support and compassion, and encouraging them to empathize with the difficult circumstances of their friends.
