Nam Dan starts construction of "Red Scarf" house
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 12, Nam Dan District Youth Union held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a "Red Scarf" house for the family of Nguyen Dinh Loc - a 5A student at Hoang Tru Primary School.had especially difficult circumstances, but overcame difficulties to study well.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Long Hai - Secretary of the Central Youth Union - Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers, representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, leaders of Tien Phong Plastics Company Limited - Central Branch and hundreds of students who are delegates of the 8th National Uncle Ho's Good Children.
Before entering the ceremony, the delegation went to Kim Lien relic site to offer flowers, incense and report to Uncle Ho at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House.
In recent years, in order to help poor students overcome difficulties and strive to study well, the Central Council of Young Pioneers has implemented the establishment of a "Small Plan" fund by collecting daily and weekly scrap paper that students throw away to accumulate into a large amount of value.
The movement has truly educated the students on the awareness of saving, protecting and maintaining the environment. With the support of 50 million VND from the “Small Plan” fund for children, the house of Nguyen Dinh Loc’s family has started construction in the presence of the Party Committee, the government and the neighbors. The house has a usable area of 60 m2, including 2 rooms, with a total cost of over 100 million VND, and is expected to be completed and handed over by the end of August 2015.
Through this meaningful activity, we aim to continue promoting the "Thousand Good Deeds" movement and the "Small Plan" movement of children across the country, arousing in them the spirit of mutual love, mutual assistance, and empathy for the difficult circumstances of their friends.
