AFP reported that French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said on September 15 that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had accepted France's invitation to visit Paris next November.
This will be the first visit to France by an Iranian leader since 1999.
Speaking to the French National Assembly, Prime Minister Valls said President Francois Hollande would host his Iranian counterpart Rouhani "because after completing the agreement on the nuclear program, Tehran must consider positively supporting a political agreement" in Syria.
Last July, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius extended an invitation to President Rouhani to visit France when he made a short visit to Iran following the historic nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 group.
A French economic and trade delegation will visit Tehran next week./
