According to AFP, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said on September 15 that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had accepted France's invitation to visit Paris in November.
This will be the first visit to France by an Iranian leader since 1999.
Speaking before the French Parliament, Prime Minister Valls said that President Francois Hollande would welcome his Iranian counterpart Rouhani "because after completing the agreement on the nuclear program, Tehran must positively consider supporting a political agreement" in Syria.
Last July, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius extended an invitation to President Rouhani to visit France during his brief trip to Iran following the historic nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 group.
A French economic and trade delegation will visit Tehran next week.
