Emergency arrest of 20 village boys who beat police lieutenant to death

Late in the afternoon of October 23, the Krong Pa District People's Procuracy (Gia Lai) approved an emergency arrest warrant for 20 suspects in the brawl between village boys that left a police lieutenant dead.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Tuan - Deputy Head of the Investigation Agency of Krong Pa District Police said that after a day of active work, under the direction of the provincial police leadership, the functional forces soon narrowed down the suspects in the brawl in Cau Doi village, Chu Rcam commune.

Initially, the investigation agency has identified the main suspects and the emergency arrest warrant has been transferred to the district People's Procuracy for approval," said Lieutenant Colonel Tuan.

Khanh and Sang were arrested urgently for their involvement in the brawl that caused the death of a police lieutenant, and the weapons they used in the disturbance were seized by the investigation agency.

Mr. Dang Vu Khuc - Chief of the People's Procuracy of Krong Pa district said that the Investigation Police have issued an emergency arrest warrant for the rioters who caused the death of Lieutenant Nay Plong, as well as injured Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Trung, working at the Krong Pa district police.

The People's Procuracy has closely supervised the initial investigation activities and approved the emergency arrest warrant as proposed by the Investigation Police Agency.

According to initial investigation, the Investigation Police have identified 20 main subjects directly involved in ambushing, throwing rocks and beating two Police Lieutenants, causing one Lieutenant to die while on duty.

The 20 subjects were arrested urgently, all residing in Cau Doi village, Chu Rcam commune, Krong Pa district. Initially, it was determined that these subjects had enticed, lured, and prepared knives, sticks, and stones to ambush and attack a group of young people in Chu Dong village, Chu Gu commune.

However, the subjects ambushed and mistakenly attacked two police officers of Krong Pa district who were on duty, causing Lieutenant Nay Plong to be stoned and fall to the street, dying on the spot, and Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Trung to be seriously injured.
