Twenty villagers arrested for beating police lieutenant to death.

Late in the afternoon of October 23, the Krông Pa District People's Procuracy (Gia Lai province) approved the urgent arrest warrants for 20 individuals involved in a village brawl that resulted in the death of a police lieutenant.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Tuan, Deputy Head of the Investigation Agency of Krong Pa District Police, said that after a day of intensive work, under the direction of the provincial police leadership, the functional forces quickly identified the suspects in the brawl in Cau Doi village, Chu Rcam commune.

"Initially, the investigating agency has identified the main suspects, and the urgent arrest warrant has been forwarded to the District Prosecutor's Office for approval," Lieutenant Colonel Tuan said.

Khánh and Sang were arrested urgently in connection with the brawl that resulted in the death of a police lieutenant, and the weapons they used in the disturbance were seized by the investigating agency.

According to Mr. Dang Vu Khuc, Director of the People's Procuracy of Krong Pa district, the investigating agency has issued an urgent arrest warrant for the individuals who caused the disturbance and resulted in the death of Lieutenant Nay Plong, as well as injuring Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Trung, both working at the Krong Pa District Police.

The Procuratorate closely supervised the initial investigation and approved the emergency arrest warrant as proposed by the investigating agency.

According to initial investigations, the police have identified 20 key individuals who directly participated in ambushing, throwing stones at, and chasing two police lieutenants, resulting in the death of one lieutenant while he was on duty.

Twenty individuals were arrested urgently; all reside in Cau Doi village, Chu Rcam commune, Krong Pa district. Initial investigations determined that these individuals had incited, lured, and prepared knives, sticks, and stones to ambush and attack a group of young men from Chu Dong village, Chu Gu commune.

However, the perpetrators ambushed and mistakenly attacked two police officers from Krông Pa district who were on their way to work. Lieutenant Nay Plong was pelted with stones and fell to the ground, dying instantly, while Lieutenant Nguyễn Thành Trung was seriously injured.
