(Baonghean.vn) - On November 6, the Department of Agriculture of Nghia Dan district coordinated with the Veterinary Station of Nghia Dan district to organize vaccinations against foot and mouth disease, anthrax and swine fever to households.

Nghia Dan currently has 6,000 cows, over 18,000 buffaloes, 37,000 pigs; 840,000 poultry. To prevent epidemics in livestock and poultry, the veterinary sector and local authorities proactively vaccinate regularly and on schedule.

According to the report of the district veterinary station, in the first phase of 2015, the communes and towns vaccinated over 30,000 doses of foot-and-mouth disease, anthrax for buffaloes, cows and swine fever, reaching over 95% of the total herd.
