Nghia Dan: Vaccinating livestock and poultry.

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 6th, the Nghia Dan District Department of Agriculture, in coordination with the Nghia Dan District Veterinary Station, organized vaccination campaigns against foot-and-mouth disease, hemorrhagic septicemia, and swine cholera at households.

Veterinary officers provide guidance on spraying disinfectant in livestock pens.

Nghia Dan currently has 6,000 cows, over 18,000 buffaloes, 37,000 pigs, and 840,000 poultry. To prevent and control diseases in livestock and poultry, the veterinary sector and local authorities proactively administer vaccines regularly and on schedule.

According to the district veterinary station's report, in the first phase of 2015, communes and towns administered over 30,000 doses of foot-and-mouth disease and hemorrhagic septicemia vaccines to buffaloes and cattle, and swine cholera vaccines, reaching over 95% of the total herd.
