The government held its regular meeting in November 2015.

Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, the Government held its regular monthly meeting for November 2015 today (November 27).

At this meeting, the Government heard and discussed the Report on the implementation of Government Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP; the socio-economic situation in November and the first 11 months of 2015; and the draft Decree regulating agencies under the Government.

The report on the socio-economic situation presented by Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh at the session affirmed that in the past 11 months, the Vietnamese economy continued its recovery and achieved higher growth than the same period last year. Macroeconomic stability was maintained, major economic balances were preserved; inflation was controlled at a low level; credit growth was quite good, exceeding the rate of capital mobilization.

Industrial production, particularly the processing and manufacturing industries, experienced significantly higher growth compared to the same period in previous years. Agricultural production, despite facing numerous challenges, remained stable.

Overall demand and purchasing power increased significantly compared to the same period last year; the number of international visitors to our country in November continued to rise compared to the previous month and compared to the same period last year.

Both registered and disbursed FDI capital increased significantly compared to the same period in 2014; the investment and business environment improved noticeably; and enterprise development activities showed positive progress.

International integration efforts have yielded many positive results; social security and welfare continue to be ensured; political security and social order are maintained…

"If no major changes occur between now and the end of December 2015, then the calculations and forecasts regarding the achievement of the goals, targets, and tasks that have been reported to the National Assembly can be fully implemented," Minister Bui Quang Vinh stated.
