The 550th anniversary of the death of Grand Tutor and Duke Nguyen Xi

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 10, Nghi Hop commune (Nghi Loc), the Nguyen Dinh clan council solemnly held the 550th death anniversary of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi (October 30, 1465 - October 30, 2015) according to the lunar calendar.

The great death anniversary of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi was held in Nghi Hop (Nghi Loc).

Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi was born in the year of Dinh Suu 1397, in Thuong Xa village, Chan Phuc district, now Nghi Hop commune, Nghi Loc district. He was one of the first founding heroes, a talented, brave and resourceful general. He was a man of great merit in the Lam Son uprising, repelling the invading Ming army in the 15th century, and was also a great mandarin who effectively assisted 4 generations of Le kings. In addition, he also made many important contributions to the formation of many villages in the Northern Delta and Dong Nghi Loc, Cua Lo town in the 15th century.
