Dien Chau focuses on preventing A/H5N6 flu

(Baonghean.vn) - Dien Chau is focusing on preventing A/H5N6 flu in communes bordering the outbreak.

Recently, Dien Hong (Dien Chau) had to destroy all 1,185 chickens infected with the A/H5N6 influenza virus. Therefore, the work of preventing avian influenza in Dien Hong commune and neighboring communes is very important.

The district set up two quarantine checkpoints to prevent poultry from being transported in and out of Dien Hong, sprayed disinfectants throughout the commune, and administered 20,000 doses of vaccine to the entire Dien Hong poultry herd.

GrandfatherDang Thanh Ba - Head of Dien Yen Veterinary Department received 2,100 doses of vaccine from the Veterinary Station to vaccinate poultry in hamlets bordering Dien Hong.

Dien Chau is focusing on epidemic prevention for the communes neighboring Dien Hong, namely Dien Ky, Dien Yen, Dien Van, Dien Thap. The broadcasting system of these communes broadcasts urgent telegrams of the district People's Committee four times a day on the epidemic situation and disease prevention, and conducts disinfection spraying and lime sprinkling in livestock areas.

Dien Chau Veterinary Station has assigned staff to regularly station in these areas and has provided 22,000 doses of vaccine to hamlets bordering Dien Hong commune for belt vaccination. With drastic measures, after 1 week of the outbreak in Dien Hong, there have been no new outbreaks in Dien Chau.
