(Baonghean) - Ms. Tran Thi Hao, Party Secretary and Principal of Vinh Thanh Primary School (Yen Thanh District), is a teacher with many creative ideas and achievements in her career of educating children. She is one of the exemplary figures of the district's education and training sector, loved and respected by her colleagues and generations of students.

After graduating from Nghe An Teacher Training College in 1984, teacher Tran Thi Hao was assigned to Quang Thanh Primary and Secondary School in the mountainous commune. At that time, the school was still made of bamboo and thatch, the students were all children of poor farmers, and the dropout rate was very high. The young teacher and her colleagues had to overcome hills and persuade parents to let their children attend school... In this difficult area, teacher Hao always strived to become an excellent teacher, with many innovative ideas and experiences in teaching and learning...

In 1987, Ms. Hao was admitted to the Party and entrusted with the position of Vice Principal. In her new role, she further affirmed herself as a dynamic and creative educational administrator... Despite being busy with school work and caring for her family, she strived to study and graduated from university… Afterwards, the District Department of Education and Training transferred her to Vinh Thanh Primary School, a school built in 1961 that was severely dilapidated, with poor classrooms and teaching equipment. But just a few years after she started working there, Vinh Thanh Primary School underwent many changes; the infrastructure was modern and the quality of education improved significantly, becoming a leading school in the Education and Training sector of Yen Thanh district. Ms. Hao was highly appreciated by many parents for her enthusiasm, respected by her colleagues for her competence and character, and loved by her students. Here, she was further appointed as Party Secretary and Principal of the school...

In 2002, the Department of Education and Training reassigned Ms. Tran Thi Hao to a new position as Principal of Vien Thanh Primary School. During her years in office, she built a new reputation for the school; the number of outstanding students and teachers at the district and provincial levels increased annually; and the facilities were modern and well-equipped: achieving national standard level 1 in 2007 and national standard level 2 in 2009.

With the requirement of the project to build Vinh Thanh Primary School into a national standard school at level 2 and worthy of being a historical site where President Ho Chi Minh visited in 1961, a dynamic and creative principal was needed, so the superiors reassigned Ms. Hao back to this school. Returning to her old school, she implemented many solutions to improve the quality of education, advising the local Party committee and government on investing in building school facilities that are increasingly spacious, clean, and beautiful, meeting the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. In recent years, Vinh Thanh Primary School has consistently had the highest percentage of excellent students and excellent teachers in the district. For many years, the school has been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as an "Outstanding Labor Collective"; awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training; and received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor...

Entering the 2015-2016 school year, Vinh Thanh Primary School strived to achieve national standard school status at level 2. When asked about the secret to building a national standard school, Ms. Hao shared: “I don’t have any secrets. The most important thing for a school administrator is to dedicate their heart and soul to the students, putting the students first, providing them with good facilities and a good educational environment. This will create consensus among teachers and parents, officials and the people of the commune to promote comprehensive educational development… We continue to strive to build Vinh Thanh Primary School into a model school of the province, worthy of being the place where Uncle Ho visited.”

For her outstanding contributions, teacher Tran Thi Hao has consistently received the title of Emulation Fighter at various levels for many years, and has been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Prime Minister. To her colleagues and generations of students, Ms. Hao is truly a fighter on the educational front, contributing to the overall development of education in Yen Thanh district, known for its rice production.
