Lý Quí Khánh bật khóc khi váy của Lan Khuê thắng giải 'World Designer'

The material of the dress is Vietnamese silk. The designer steamed the fabric and then dyed it in a Western style. He said the dress does not look special, but that was the intention he wanted to convey. He predicted that the simplicity would make the Vietnamese representative stand out among the many elaborate designs that beauties from other countries chose to show.

In addition to the winning dress, Ly Qui Khanh also designed the outfit for Lan Khue to appear in the final night. This outfit was inspired by the beauty of a precious gem, sparkling in emerald green on a silver fabric background. The designer expressed that he wanted Lan Khue to shine in the final like the sparkle of the dress.

The dress Lan Khue wore in the Miss World final was also designed by Ly Qui Khanh.

The World Designer Award is a subsidiary award of Miss World each year. The contestants present dresses by designers from their countries. The organizers select the top 10 and vote for the best design before the final night. In 2014, this award was given to an Indian contestant.
