Former V.League star works as a broker

Since the 2015 season has not ended, clubs have been continuously receiving calls from brokers to “book” their players for trials before the 2016 season. Among the very few “brokers” welcomed by clubs, there are several former V-League stars.

Many foreign players in the V-League, after finishing their careers, have turned to transfer brokerage and taken advantage of existing relationships to “do business” in the Vietnamese market. Achilefu (Nigeria) and Leandro (Brazil) are the most typical examples.

Thanks to their reputation from their time playing in the V-League, these former stars are always welcomed and treated with much more respect by clubs than other “agents”. Achilefu specializes in “shipping goods” from Nigeria to Vietnam, while Leandro is considered a “mine of Brazilian players”. Leandro therefore has a relatively large mark in the phenomenon of a series of Brazilian players coming to try out at clubs before the 2016 season, making many people think of the prospect of the “Samba troupe” retaking the V-League market.

Not only former players but also foreign players currently playing for V-League clubs take advantage of their “family” status to introduce colleagues they know. With such a wide range of sources, it is hoped that V-League clubs can select the best foreign players for the new season.
