Nam Vuc Hamlet celebrates National Unity Day

(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of November 9, Nam Vuc hamlet, Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district held a ceremony to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2015) and the National Great Unity Day.

Comrade Cao Thi Hien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, and representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and Yen Thanh district attended the festival.

Comrade Cao Thi Hien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, presented congratulatory gifts from Nghe An province to cadres and people of Nam Vuc hamlet.

Nam Vuc hamlet has 366 households, with nearly 1,500 people, of which 50% are Catholics. In recent years, Nam Vuc hamlet has always carried out well the Campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" associated with new rural construction and patriotic movements.

Thanks to the good performance of the movements, Nam Vuc is a model hamlet, always being set as an example in all aspects of work; The lives of the households are increasingly improving with about 30% of the households being rich, 65% of the households being well-off, and the number of poor households remaining at only 5%. The political security situation, social order and safety are always maintained, the solidarity of the Catholic and non-Catholic people is always close and harmonious. The movement to build new rural areas in Nam Vuc is always well implemented by the people.

During the festival, Xom Nam Vuc organizes many cultural and sports activities.

Nam Vuc hamlet currently has 12 self-managed inter-family groups with quality activities. People in the groups always actively participate in building movements. Nam Vuc is currently one of the leading hamlets in gratitude movements, cultural and artistic movements, and sports.

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front, the National Great Unity Day in the residential area, many people in Nam Vuc hamlet participated in cultural, artistic, sports and educational promotion activities. In 2014, the hamlet was recognized by the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district as a cultural village.

On this occasion, leaders of Nghe An province and Yen Thanh district presented gifts to congratulate Nam Vuc hamlet, presented gifts to 8 poor households; organized the awarding of study encouragement gifts to excellent students.
