According to a report from the Department of Education and Training, each year the province mobilizes and organizes literacy programs for 1,000-1,200 students and supplementary lower secondary education for nearly 1,000 students. Thanks to this, after three years of implementing the project to build a learning society in Nghe An province (2012-2020), the literacy rate for people aged 15-35 reached 99.4%; 100% of communes, wards, and towns met the standards for literacy eradication and universal primary education. In addition, the universal education program has also achieved many outstanding results.

Đồng chí Trần Quốc Khánh, Phó Ban tuyên giáo tỉnh phát biểu góp ý về những nội dung liên quan đến dự thảo
Comrade Tran Quoc Khanh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department, gave his comments on the contents related to the draft.

During the meeting, delegates contributed many suggestions to the draft report and pointed out shortcomings that need to be addressed so that the Department of Education and Training can finalize the report before the three-year review. Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh requested that in the coming period, the Provincial Steering Committee for Combating Illiteracy, Universalizing Education, and Building a Learning Society should clarify the roles of each unit in carrying out the task, linking it to the responsibilities of each sector and locality.

Strengthening inspection, supervision, and implementation of projects is crucial, with particular attention paid to combating illiteracy and universalizing preschool education for 5-year-olds. Emphasis should be placed on building a learning society and providing vocational training and skills development for the population to "keep pace" with the trend of integration.
