(Baonghean.vn) - On December 6th, at the Quynh Luu District Gymnasium, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the People's Committee of Quynh Luu District, organized the opening ceremony of the 17th Phu Dong Sports Festival of Nghe An Province, Cluster IV, 2015.

The Phu Dong Sports Festival in Cluster IV attracted over 800 student athletes from schools in the five districts and towns of the cluster: Cua Lo town, Hoang Mai, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, and Quynh Luu. Over two days, from December 6th to 7th, the athletes competed in six sports: football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, and sepak takraw.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, exciting and intense matches took place in football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, and sepak takraw.

With a knockout format, the tournament aims to select first and second place winners for individuals, and first place winners for teams to participate in the final round of the 17th Phu Dong Sports Festival of Nghe An province in 2015, which will be held in the near future.
