(Baonghean.vn)-On December 6, at the Quynh Luu district gymnasium, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district to organize the opening ceremony of the 17th Phu Dong Sports Festival of Nghe An province, cluster IV, 2015.

Giving flowers and souvenir flags to participating units

The Phu Dong Sports Festival in cluster IV attracted more than 800 athletes who were students from schools in 5 districts and towns in the cluster including: Cua Lo town, Hoang Mai, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh and Quynh Luu. During 2 days, from December 6-7, the athletes competed in 6 sports including: football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, and shuttlecock.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, there were exciting and fierce matches in football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, and shuttlecock.

With the format of a knockout round, the tournament aims to select individuals who win first and second prizes, and for the collectives who win first prizes, to participate in the final round of the 17th Nghe An Province Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2015, which will be held in the near future./.
