After losing to Hartlepool last Sunday, Leyton Orient's coaching staff and players have not been able to return home to their families and have had to stay in a hotel.

On 15 November, Leyton Orient lost 1-3 to underdogs Hartlepool. The team has won just one of its last six games. The poor form has prompted owner Francesco Becchetti to decide not to let the team go home to their families. |

Rooms at the hotel are not cheap, costing up to $160 a night. It is unclear when owner Becchetti will lift the ban on members going home. |

The 18 players and six coaching staff members were allowed out when not training, but had to return to the hotel to eat and sleep. |

According to coach Hendon, Becchetti wanted the team to be more united after the defeat. The boss therefore decided that all members would have to stay together for a while, like the teams participating in the World Cup and Euro. "If we win 4-0 or 5-0 next Saturday, we might go home," Hendon said humorously. |

Leyton Orient are currently seventh in the English fourth tier and are hoping to win promotion back to the third tier next season. |

Becchetti spent around $6 million to buy Leyton Orient but failed to save the team from relegation last season. This season Leyton Orient started with five wins out of five before falling to seventh place. |
