Xuất hiện siêu bão giật cấp 17 ngoài biển Đông

Trung tâm Dự báo khí tượng - thủy văn Trung ương cho biết, hiện trên vùng biển phía đông miền Trung Philippines hình thành một cơn bão rất mạnh, có tên quốc tế là Melor.

Hồi 13h ngày 13/12, vị trí tâm bão ở vào khoảng 12,3 độ Vĩ Bắc; 129,2 độ Kinh Đông, cách bờ biển miền Trung Philippines khoảng 420km về phía dông. Sức gió mạnh nhất ở vùng gần tâm bão mạnh cấp 13 (từ 135-150km/giờ), giật cấp 16-17.

In the next 24 hours, the storm is forecast to move west-northwest at about 20km per hour and continue to strengthen. At 1pm on December 14, the storm's eye was at about 12.8 degrees North latitude; 124.8 degrees East longitude, in the sea east of the central Philippines. The strongest wind near the storm's eye increased to level 14-15 (from 150-185km/h), gusting to level 17.

In the next 48 hours, the storm is likely to change direction slightly, moving westward at a speed of about 15km per hour. At 1pm on December 15, the center of the storm was located at about 13.1 degrees North latitude; 121.1 degrees East longitude, in the central Philippines. The strongest wind near the center of the storm decreased to level 12-13 (from 120-150km/h), gusting to level 14-15.

During the next 72 hours, the storm will continue to move westward, traveling about 5-10km per hour.

Meteorological experts warn that this is a very strong storm, with an erratic increase and decrease in intensity; and appearing near the end of the storm season, its direction of movement is likely to change in the coming time. Therefore, ships operating in the central East Sea need to closely monitor the above storm to take timely preventive measures.
