Many activities were held in response to the "Tet for the Poor" campaign in 2016.

(Baonghean.vn) -Responding to the Provincial Party Secretary's appeal to support and assist the poor in celebrating the Lunar New Year 2016, various units and localities have carried out practical activities to help the poor celebrate the New Year.

In Hung Nguyen:

On the morning of January 19th, the Provincial Association of Farm Economics, in coordination with Hung Nguyen district, presented Tet gifts to particularly disadvantaged poor households in Hung Linh commune.

Responding to the call from the Provincial Party Secretary to support and help the poor celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) 2016, the Nghe An Farm Economy Association mobilized its officials and members to donate 10 million VND to give Tet gifts to the poor in Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc districts.

Eight Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages were given to eight poor families facing particularly difficult circumstances.

The Farm Economy Association, in coordination with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Agriculture, and the Hung Linh commune government, organized the distribution of 8 Tet gifts to 8 poor families with particularly difficult circumstances.

In Yen Thanh:

On the morning of January 19th, the Vinh City Women Entrepreneurs Club visited Yen Thanh district to donate 50 gift packages to underprivileged children and single mothers.

The delegation donated 20 warm blankets to poor and disabled children, and also gave 30 gift packages to single mothers in the area, each package worth 500,000 VND, with a total value of nearly 30 million VND.

These meaningful gifts will help poor children and women have a warm and joyful Lunar New Year./.
