According to the indictment of the Nghia Dan District People's Procuracy: at approximately 11:30 PM on September 2, 2015, taking advantage of a loophole at Thach Anh Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, located in Hamlet 6, Binh Minh (Nghia Hoi Commune, Nghia Dan District), Ha Duy Trung and Vo Van Quat went to the area where the company's brick production line was located, used scissors to cut the electrical wires, and used a wrench to remove the fixing bolts to steal two 3-phase electric motors.

At approximately 1:00 AM on September 3, 2015, the two suspects were apprehended while attempting to sell the stolen electric motors in the Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district. The total value of the stolen property from Thach Anh Construction Investment Joint Stock Company by Ha Duy Trung and Vo Van Quat was 6.6 million VND.
