Vinh Transport Hospital celebrates Vietnamese Doctors' Day

(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of February 27, Vinh Transport Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 61st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2016).

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phan Duc Huu - Chairman of the Trade Union, Central Transport Construction Corporation; representatives of leaders of wards and communes of Nghi Kim, Quan Bau, Hung Dong, Dong Vinh; units in the transport sector and many hospital staff and employees through the periods.

At the ceremony, the delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the country's health sector in general and Nghe An's health sector in particular through the ages. 61 years ago, on February 27, 1955, beloved President Ho Chi Minh wrote a letter to the Conference of health sector cadres with valuable teachings. Keeping those teachings in mind, the cadres and employees of Vinh Transport Hospital always strive to excellently complete all tasks with the ethics and high responsibility of a physician.

Since its establishment in 1993, Vinh Transport Hospital has grown to become a trusted medical examination and treatment address for the people. To achieve this result, the hospital's leadership has always focused on building and nurturing a "high-minded, bright-hearted" human resource; proactively applying science and technology, modern equipment and machinery, implementing many new techniques beyond the line... In particular, the first artificial kidney center in the North Central region of the hospital in association with Bach Mai Hospital has 25 machines, serving well the needs of dialysis according to the needs of more than 150 patients.

In 2015, with 150 assigned beds, the hospital examined and treated more than 53,000 patients, performed over 1,700 surgeries and nearly 27,500 procedures.

Besides professional activities, the hospital also actively responds to social welfare and charity movements, creating a good impression of the team of "doctors like mothers" in the hearts of the people.
