Vinh Transport Hospital celebrates Vietnamese Doctors' Day.

(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of February 27th, Vinh Transport Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 61st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27th, 1955 - February 27th, 2016).

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phan Duc Huu – Chairman of the Trade Union, Central Vietnam Transport Construction Corporation; representatives from the leadership of Nghi Kim, Quan Bau, Hung Dong, and Dong Vinh wards and communes; units within the transport sector; and a large number of former and current hospital staff.

The celebration featured spectacular cultural performances.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious traditions of the national healthcare sector in general and the Nghe An healthcare sector in particular throughout history. Sixty-one years ago, on February 27, 1955, beloved President Ho Chi Minh wrote a letter to the Conference of Healthcare Cadres with valuable teachings. Bearing those teachings in mind, the staff and employees of Vinh Transport Hospital always strive to excellently fulfill all tasks with the high ethics and responsibility of a true medical professional.

From its early days of establishment in 1993 to the present, Vinh Transport Hospital has risen to become a reliable medical examination and treatment center for the people. To achieve this result, the hospital's leadership has always focused on building and nurturing a highly intelligent and dedicated workforce; proactively applying science and technology, modern equipment and machinery, and implementing many new, advanced techniques... In particular, the hospital's first hemodialysis center in the North Central region, in collaboration with Bach Mai Hospital, has 25 machines, effectively serving the dialysis needs of more than 150 patients.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoe, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Transport Hospital, delivered a speech commemorating Vietnamese Doctors' Day.

In 2015, with 150 allocated beds, the hospital examined and treated over 53,000 patients, performed over 1,700 surgeries and nearly 27,500 procedures.

Besides its professional activities, the hospital also actively participates in social welfare and charitable movements, creating a positive impression of a team of "doctors as compassionate as mothers" in the hearts of the people.

The 61st anniversary celebration of Vietnamese Doctors' Day is an opportunity for hospital staff and employees from all periods to reflect on the traditions, rejoice in the achievements made, and thereby gain more motivation and determination to further develop and live up to the trust and expectations of the people of the province.
