(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 21st, Anh Son district held a ceremony to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22nd, 1944 - December 22nd, 2015) and the 26th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22nd, 1989 - December 22nd, 2015).

On this occasion, delegates reviewed the glorious 71-year history of fighting, building, winning, and maturing of the Vietnam People's Army. They also acknowledged and appreciated the great achievements in the 26 years of implementing the national defense system in the new era.

Also at the ceremony, the Army Youth Committee - General Political Department of the Ministry of National Defense, in coordination with the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, presented 20 savings accounts to disadvantaged policy beneficiary families in the district, each account worth 5 million VND.
