Recently, the internet has been buzzing about a super-class male sexual enhancement supplement handcrafted by the Bao Tam Duong traditional oriental medicine pharmacy.

According to the physician of this 'exclusive' pharmacy: "This medicine is prepared by 3 pharmacists, originating from Cordyceps sinensis at the Plant Protection Institute (Hanoi), with ingredients: epimedium, dodder seed, eucommia ulmoides, Chinese yam... all supporting increased physiological activity". The product is suitable for middle-aged and elderly people to 'treat' weak physiology, impotence, too short intercourse time, decreased sexual desire, physical weakness, stress...

Also according to the advertisement, the pharmacy claims that 80% of people who have used it have had good results. There is an 85-year-old man who still 'got it' and "we guarantee 100% Vietnamese origin, increased sexual performance after 10 days or we will refund 100% of the money".

With such "reputable" advertising, images of this product with no origin and no ingredients continuously appear on online sales pages and are "sought after" by many women for their husbands at "sky-high" prices.

However, information from the Department of Food Safety, Ministry of Health said: this Cordyceps sinensis dietary supplement product to enhance male physiology has not been granted a certificate of conformity to food safety regulations and a circulation license.

From this incident, the Food Safety Department has warned that recently the National Institute for Food Safety Control (Ministry of Health) suddenly inspected 6 types of sexual enhancement supplements on the market and discovered 2 types of dietary supplements containing aphrodisiacs: Vardenafil and Sildenafil. These two active ingredients have the function of supporting the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men but are not allowed to be included in dietary supplements because the use of these active ingredients is not controlled in terms of dosage, which will lead to low blood pressure, increased heart rate and is also the cause of heart attacks and strokes.

Therefore, with the above test results, the Ministry of Health recommends that consumers should be especially careful when using dietary supplements floating on the market with unknown origins and unclear ingredients.
